You've come to the right place. Finally, selecting a layer will also allow you to quickly adjust the Opacity of the layer using the slider at the top of the Layers Tab. You can also lock a layer by clicking the lock icon on the right of the layer. You can also turn a layer visually off (without deleting it) by clicking the Eye icon to the left of the layer.

Within the Layers Tab, you can rearrange Layers by dragging them up or down in the list.

This actually allows you to adjust the Opacity of a Media File that is the Background to let the lower color layer appear through, allowing you to create a colored filter effect. If you do select a Media File to be the Background, know that the color is still below the Media File in ordering. If you do not select a Media File to serve as the Background, then it will use the selected color (the default is black). Both are accessible from the Background Window. Within the Background Layer, there are actually two layers – media (images/videos) on top and solid color on bottom. You will instead need to change the Background Layer to something else if you want to change that. You can never move an Object below the Background Layer.

The Layers determine which object sits on top of the other objects visually when they are in the same space. You will find the settings for these layers in the Layers Tab on the right side of the Control Screen. All Objects on a Page are layered with each other.
